Welcome back to the Iowa Comedy Festival podcast! In our second episode, we sit down and talk to the manager of the Cedar Rapids Penguin’s Comedy Club, Danny Franks. Danny was named Penguin’s new manager in 2008 after the club was ravished by severe flooding and Penguin’s was forced to find a new home. Now he is helping creative a wonderful comedy scene in Cedar Rapids with new open mics and more frequent opportunities for local comedians to get stage time.
